The University of Nevada graduates thousands of students each year which provides a steady source of young, talented, and driven employees of Reno’s job market. The Reno Real estate market is much more affordable than the San Francisco bay area which is a larger feeder market to the Reno area. This has caused a lot of technology based companies to place their headquarters or a large presence in RenoNevada. Some of Reno’s largest employers are IGT the largest slot machine manufacturer in the world, Microsoft licensing, Amazon.com, Intuit, Wells Fargo, AT & T, University of Nevada and Sierra Pacific Power. Nevada residents pay no state income tax at the personal or corporate level whatsoever.
With almost 30 inches of snowfall per year and 310 days of sunshine we enjoy some the best skiing in the world with resorts like Squaw Valley, HeavenlyValley, Mt.Rose and North Star within a one hour drive. The RenoCity council has announced we will have a triple A baseball team coming to town, the Arizona Side Winders. SK partners will be building a 10,000 seat stadium downtown for the new team. This will be the icing on the cake for the gentrification of the downtown Reno Real estate market which will also include new shops, restaurants, movie theaters and 5 upscale condo projects that are currently under way.
